Dubai music lovers greet 2003
in Sri Lankan style

News comes to US from the 'Horse Shoe' in Dubai a'la Benjy and Sam the Man that they had a fabulous New Year's Eve with the nite club jam packed to capacity. Says Sam "Some folks opted to stand as no seats were available so the band and the DJ played non stop music. Usually according to regulations over here we stop sharp 3 a.m. every day. But rules were relaxed and we went on till 4 a.m.

It was one great ball and everybody went berserk with the baila session after midnight. The Louis Armstrong version of "What a Wonderful World' is the most popular song in the club and I had to sing it at least thrice every night for the guests' enjoyment. Benjy and Aquarius were great". Sam the Man who was the featured artiste for New Year's Eve at the 'Horse Shoe' should have been back last week from Dubai to fulfill his music commitments in Colombo.
