Thirty scribes from Chennai due in Feb.

Indian sector of Indo-Sri Lanka Friendship Association has invited a group of thirty from the Sri Lankan sector, to visit India in February this year.

The decision was made recently at a special meeting of the Association held at the Masa Hotel in Egmore, Chennai. D.F. Kariyakarawana, President of the Sri Lanka Press Association and the Indo-Sri Lanka Friendship Association chaired the meeting. Exchange media representatives, organise educational tours, and to inaugurate a scholarship scheme for members were among the agenda.

It was also decided to hold a regional conference in Sri Lanka during the month of April this year, on a proposal made by the President of Confederation of Asian Journalists' Union Wickram Rao. Indo-Sri Lanka Friendship Association is affiliated to the Sri Lanka Press Association.
