German papara band
to perform here

In this new peace era make your way down Gangaramaya on Sunday February 16 and catch all the fun and excitement of the fun - Papara-band from Hamburg, Germany, when they perform at the first Colombo Perahera organised in collaboration with the Gangaramaya temple.

The Geothe Institut is responsible for bringing down this street music band which is termed the Tatara band. With no help from electronics the Tatara band whilst parading the streets, will play their own arrangements of rock, folk, slapstick, beat, jazz, soul and classic in a colourful style mixed with composed and freestyle elements.

As they say Tatara is cordless and mobile and they play with the audience, sometimes silly, sometimes provocative - more for the eyes and for fun. Saxophones, flutes, trumpets, trombone, tuba and a strong rhythm section a huge energetic sound that has to be experienced. Be a part of the fun on Sunday February 16.
