Mr. T. Don Augustine - Justice of the Peace (All Island) of Temple Road, Maharagama, M.B.A. (Open Int, University) and presently Director Public Relations, M/S Export Group of companies, including M/S Coirpack International (Pvt) Ltd. was conferred the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy, in Public Relations (Honoris Causa), by the Senate and Board of Directors of the Open International University, at the 40th sessions of the World Congress of medicina alternativa at the BMICH. It was presided over by the renowned professor, Anton Jayasuriya, and an Award was presented by Professor Victor Russel MD, MA of the United Kingdom, the Dean of the college of holistic medicines.

He was an Organizer, Producer and Compere of numerous top-line western musicals for charitable causes such as for St. Therese's church, Aquinas University College, St. Joseph's College, Colombo, Holy Cross Convent Gampaha and many other Building funds.

He is a popular veteran old Josephian sportsman who was champion College miler, Badminton Captain, Soccerite and Cricketer. He participated in the all Ceylon Veterans Amateur Athletics Championship from 1991 to 1996 and obtained placements every year.
