British Under-Secretary due this week

British Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Mike O'Brien, MP will be in Colombo this week to attend a seminar on 'Response to New Threats to International Security', organised by centre for policy alternatives.

British under secretary who will be here at the invitation of local research groups is expected to meet various experts and officials in Colombo. at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, 29 January 2003.

Mike O'Brien will discuss issues of immediate interest and concern in the global context as well as those of particular relevance to the evolving peace process in Sri Lanka on the perspective of the British Government.
