by E. Weerapperuma

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday directed to the Medawachchiya UNP chief organiser Chintaka Gunasena to seek help from Minister Tissa Attanayake and Hemakumara Nanayakkara to assist the people living in the villages affected by the LTTE attack in the past to improve their living conditions, cultivations and provide houses and reconstruct small tanks to help them to cultivate their lands.

Prime Minister issued these directives after meeting the people who plocked around him, when the visited them.

The Premier toured Mahanikawewa and Indigollewa, villages which comes under Kebilithigollewa Pradeshiya Sabha, to feel the pulse of the people living hundreds of miles away from the city of Colombo.

"I came to see you, listen to you and see how you all live. I want to know what you feel now after our government took the initiative to go for peace", the Prime Minister told them.
