New appointments in Navy Five Commodores of the Sri Lanka Navy took up new appointments last week according to Defence sources. The appointments are Commodores Somatilake Dissanayaka as Director, Naval Welfare, Manil Mendis as Director Training, P. L. Ubeysinghe as Director Personnel, D.Samarawickrama as Deputy Area Commander North and C. Samaratunga as Deputy Area Commander East. Meanwhile, Captain W. M. Ilangakoon has taken over duties as Deputy Area Commander West. |
