Jayasuriya returns to top of one-day ratings

JOHANNESBURG, Feb 15 (Reuters) - Sri Lanka captain Sanath Jayasuriya has returned to the top of the world one-day batting ratings following his impressive form in the first week of the World Cup.

Jayasuriya overtook Australia opener Matthew Hayden at the head of the list after scores of 120 against New Zealand and 55 not out against Bangladesh. West Indies left-hander Brian Lara moved back into the top-10 after his sparkling century against South Africa in the tournament's opening match. South Africa captain Shaun Pollock remained at the top of the bowling ratings, just ahead of Sri Lanka off spinner Muttiah Muralitharan and Australia fast bowler Glenn McGrath.
