The night of a
thousand stars

Noeline Honter and Maxi Rosairo winners of the Singers of the Year 1994 Golden Clef Award.

The countdown is now in full swing and in a little more than a week, musicians in the Western music industry in all their glamour and glitter will gather on March 6 at the BMICH keeping their fingers crossed.

Some of them will be the cynosure of all eyes that night. By the end of the show they will be proud owners of the prestigious new look Golden Clef Awards....a fitting tribute to all their hard work over the past months.

March 6 will be the big day that everybody in the music business has been looking forward to with loads of anticipation. The entertainment scenario is now a complex industry - it means much more than being be able to hit the right note or pluck a string.

Today audiences are more demanding wanting the latest and the most flexible combinations for their entertainment and musicians are quite naturally keeping up with the latest trends and giving of their very best to make the music scene in Sri Lanka second to none. And that is why the Golden Clef Awards program was revived by the Sunday Observer to recognise and reward the efforts made by these musicians to prove that they are 'simply the best.'

So be there on this night of a thousand stars and vibrant vibes...
