The 'letter of understanding' prepared by the SLFP for a joint alliance with the JVP was handed over to the JVP delegation at the second meeting of the second round of talks at the 'President's House' on Friday.

JVP Propaganda Secretary and Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa said that the party's Central Committee would go through the document, discuss the amendments at the next meeting scheduled for April 3. PA MP Dr. Sarath Amunugama said that both parties finished another cordial meeting and they would finalise the drafting of the MoU, in the next meeting. He also said that everything was 'on track' to establish the joint front which would take place in April. DPL
