Four titles for Namal Gunasekera

Tilina Piyadasa won the men's singles, and then partnered by Rohan Sirisena won the men's doubles at the 51st YMCA Open Table Tennis Championships held recently at the YMCA Gymnasium.

Then Kalpani Herath won the women's singles when she beat Deepika Rodrigo. There was also Deepika Rodrigo who won the women's doubles partnered by Namal Gunasekera and also the mixed doubles partnered by Indika Prasad who lost a well contested men's final against Tilina Piyadasa.

There was also a fine performance by veteran player Namal Gunasekera of Lake House who not only won the women's doubles partnered by Deepika Rodrigo, but she showed that she had the energy to win three other titles in the veterans category. Namal Gunasekera won the over 40 women's singles, over 40 women's doubles partnered by Priyangani D. Ranasinghe and also the over 40 mixed doubles partnered by M. M. Lafir.
