'Beat Cyclone' finals on June 1

'Beat Cyclone' presented by Sue International School of Music and Dance, has now concluded the preliminary and semi-final rounds and is ready for the Final to be held on Sunday, June 1, 2003 at the Bishop's College Auditorium.

A number of participants from all parts of the island participated exploring their talents in the categories of singing, music and dancing. The preliminary rounds were held at Sue International School Auditorium in February and names were short-listed for the semi-finals. The semi-finals were held at the same venue during April. 'Damage' the best band of the year will be on stage backing the finalists, while ever popular Bathiya and Santhush together with Kevin Nugera's troupe 'Le Latino' will add glamour to make the finals of 'Beat Cyclone' a spectacular show.

The winners and the first and second runners-up of each category will win trophies specially designed by Sue International along with certificates and gifts. The overall winner will receive the main trophy together with valuable gifts and an air ticket courtesy SriLankan Airlines.
