NAVARATNAM ­ ARUMUGASWAMY   ­ Formerly Manager, Ceylon Shipping Lines and later Managing Director, Great Circle Line, Dubai, passed away peacefully following a brief illness, at the Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, Canada, on Wednesday 11th June. Mr Navaratnam is survived by his beloved wife Seevamani, loving daughters Sakuntala (Canada), Devaranee (Thailand), Vasanthi (UK), sons­in­law Sri Ghanthan, Vishnu Mohan, Satkunaseelan and grandchildren Shano, Kavitha, Bavidra, Gina and Shivani. Mr Navaratnam was the eldest brother of late Mr Nalalingam, Mrs Maheshwary Kumaraswamy Pillai, Mrs Manonmani Sangarapillai, both of Colombo and Mrs Puvaneswary Manicavasagar of Jaffna.
