Twenty-four-year-old Miss Nuwanthi Somathilake will represent Sri Lanka at the World University Pageant in Korea to be held during the first week of August. This pageant has been hosted in Korea for over 15 years and is a very popular international pageant in the country.

Miss Nuwanthi was the first runner-up for the Miss Swim Suit pageant at the Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Tourism Int. Pageant in 2002. She has participated in a number of bridal shows in the last few years. She holds a Diploma in Child Physiology from the Japanese School with a Diploma in Beauty Culture.

The Franchise Director for this pageant is Mr. S.A.C. Perera, Chairman Celsin Ltd, who was an international judge on two separate occasions for the World Miss University Pageant in Korea in the past.

Mr. Perera was also the Franchise Director for the World Miss University Pageant for a number of years in the past.
