A spokesman for CMSC, Mr. Yohan Lawrence said that they were currently in the process of plotting the rally route and were planning a challenging route network of roads and conditions to test both the skills of the drivers, and in particular, the navigational abilities of the co-drivers and navigators.

In 2002, the same rally organised by the CMSC was jointly won by the teams comprising of Stefan Furkhan, Olitha Gunaratne and Aslam Chatoor and team comprising of Dinesh Senanayake, and Riyaz Sangani. Tariq Hassen was the first runner-up while Falel Nafeez was the second runner-up.
