Kandiah (Assistant Superintendent of Police), sister of late Mr Mylvaganam, late Mr Kanapathippillai, late Mr Sithamparappillai, loving mother of late Mr Kamalanathan, Mr Shanmuganathan (London), Ramanathan (Colombo), Ranjinidevi (Dubai), Niranjala (Canada), Mr Gobi Kandiah (London), mother­in­law of Shanthi (Colombo), Shevanthi (London) Sivasubramaniyam (Dubai), Kugadasan (Canada), Asha (London), grandmother of Thusantha, Ajit, Ravini, Sanjeevan, Sivani, Janakan, Kayatri, Darsini, Keythisan and Ashan. The Remains will be kept for last respects at   292, Hospital Road, Kalubowila, Jayaratna Parlour today at 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. Last Rites will take place on Sunday at 11.00 a.m. at 34A, Lilly Avenue, Colombo­06. Remains will lie at   St. Lukes Vicarage Borella till 2.00 p.m. on Sunday 27th July. Beloved husband of Chandra Priyadarshi Ranmuthu, loving father of Kavisha Ranmuthu, beloved eldest son of Sugathadasa Ranmuthu (Retired Works Manager State Printing Corporation) and Lalitha Ranmuthu (Retired Teacher), much loved brother of Kumudika and Harshana Ranmuthu, loving brother­in­law of Nandalal and Muditha, expired. Cortege leaves Residence on Monday 28th July at 5 p.m. for Cremation at Maharagama, Godigamuwa Cemetery.   58/3, Suhada Place, Thalapathpitiya Road, Nugegoda. 

THAMBIAH ­ SANGARAPILLAI (SEGARY).   Relict of Saraswathy (Nee Thampoe). Loving father of Sharada (Ceylon Theatres Ltd.) and Yogendra (Credit Suisse, USA), father­in­law of Kanthi (USA), much loved grandfather of Precila and Veronica (U.S.A.). Remains will lie at   A.F. Raymond’s Funeral Parlour on Monday 28th July. Cortege leaves the same day at 5.00 p.m. Cremation at the General Cemetery Kanatte (Hindu Section). No. 16, Ramanathan Avenue, Dehiwela. 

  The death occurred in London on July 6 of   HUGH DHARMASENA (Chartered Accountant) ­ formerly of St. Peters College, Bambalapitiya. Dearly beloved son of late S.A. Dharmasena Surveyor General’s Dept. (Maps) and of Ruwanpura, Grace Sriyalatha Dharmasena, beloved husband of Joan Daborn, loving dad of Jeremy, father­in­law of Lucinda; grandfather of Coralie, much loved brother of Captain Terry and Sita, brother­in­law of Padmini and R.L. de Alwis ­ uncle of Shiranie, Maya, Gayani, Guy and Chandima, Darrel & Sunjeevie, Ken & Sandy, Tyronne & Manik, Tania & Romesh, grand uncle of Brian, Ashan & Baby Umesh ­ Dharmasena and of Vihan & Vitini de Alwis. His remains were cremated on 16th July 2003. The Pansakula was performed by the High Priest of the Weybridge Vihare.
