New CD from Mahesh and Chandimal

Quite a pleasant surprise from Chandimal Fernando is the release of the CD 'Sax on the Rocks' which features the acknowledged and veteran saxophonist Mahesh Molligoda in a selection of instrumental favourites, supported by Chandimal on keyboards.

An accomplished keyboardist as well it's good to know that Molligoda has moved back into the music scene to give music lovers an opportunity to enjoy his artistry. Along with the release of 'Sax on the Rocks' Chandimal also released his Calypso Part 3 album, which contains about 40 well-known calypso songs.

According to him his concert which he staged last year is now on DVD and VCD, digitally mastered. He is proud of the fact that he has so far released 22 CDS to his credit. Furthermore Chandimal is preparing for his next concert on Tuesday November 25 at the BMICH and he tells us that he will be organising two dinner concerts with his group soon in Colombo.
