Sri Lanka 'A' team leaves for South Africa today

29-year-old Russel Arnold leads Sri lanka 'A' team on a tour of South Africa and for the skipper it will be a good opportunity to get back the Test place that he lost due to poor form.

The 15-member team leaves Sri Lanka early this morning from the Bandaranaike International Airport at 7.55.

There will be seven matches on tour for the Lankans and this will be followed by five one-day internationals in Kenya.

Sri Lanka 'A' team squad for South Africa/Kenya: Russel Arnold (captain), Naveed Nawaz (vice-captain), Avishka Gunawardena, Ian Daniel, Michael Vandort, Jehan Mubarak, Prasanna Jayawardene (wk), Lanka de Silva (wk), Dharshana Gamage, Thilan Thushara, Omesh Wijesiriwardene, Nuwan Zoysa, Kaushal Weeraratne, Rangana Herath, Janaka Gunaratne.

Officials: Ranjit Fernando (manager), Hemantha Devapriya (coach), C. J. Clark (physio).
