Revelation - meet with popularity

'Revelation' a newly formed Sri Lanka band performing at the Quality Inn Horizon Hotel's Horse Shoe disco will be in Colombo in November for a short break to give the Sri Lankan music lovers a taste of their exciting music.

All members though young have considerable experience by playing along with the seniors in the music industry over here. The 'rocking' sounds the band creates and the energy they produce on stage has earned them success ever since they performed their first gig in Dubai. Led by the energetic vocalist Shean one time member of Dream Team who is also the manager of the band.

'Revelation' comprises extremely talented musicians. Sean was a familiar figure on our stages, with his characteristic long white coat performing with Dream Team and prior to that a member of Telepathy with Aslan and Ezrad of Krebcycle, - Golden Clef Rock/Alternate Band 2002. Sean with Revelations intends touring to different cities for festivals and concerts and according to him the band is working on their first album which they hope to release soon. The other members of the band include Kosala who plays bass and guitar and was a member of the rock group Rattlesnake, Red Scorpions and Saga.

DJ Diren the drummer and rapper, is the son of Sri Lanka's leading drummer, the late Mohan Sabaratnam and was one time a presenter/producer at Sun FM.

Nalin the guitarist extremely talented was a member of Bathiya and Santhush and was also featured on B&S albums 'Life' and 'Tharunye'. He plays bass for Revelation and has had the experience of backing Morton Harket (vocalist of A-Ha) and also playing bass for the Chamber Orchestra from Amsterdam and the Sri Lanka Symphony Orchestra.

Zion the rock guitarist played with Rattlesnake, Venom, Acid Rain and Living Spirits. His guitar playing gives a lot of thrust to the group, helping them to have an identity of their own. With the disciplined playing and experience Revelation has acquired playing in Dubai, we hope Sri Lankan music lovers will be able to see them in action when they return in November
