Raigam ventures into herbal sector The food-manufacturing company Kingdom of Raigam introduced two new brands 'Neeroga' and 'Gango' to the market, at a news conference. The Raigam family, which has been growing rapidly during the short period of its existence, has ventured into the herbal market with 'Neeroga Syrup' and 'Neeroga Peyawa' and introduced the instant orange drink, 'Gango'. 'Neeroga Syrup' was described by the company as a fast relief for coughs and colds, manufactured according to a traditional Ayurvedic recipe with scientifically modified processing, which ensures the highest quality. The product includes ginger, maduruthala, velmee, adathoda, coriander and katuwelbatu. 'Neeroga Peyawa' is also said to bring quick relief from fever and colds. A product made from 100 per cent local herbal extracts, it readily dissolves in hot water, and can be consumed with coffee as a cure for stomach disorders as well. Gango, the orange drink, contains natural flavouring substances. The consumer needs only a glass of water to enjoy the drink. Raigam is today a well-known name throughout the country. The base for Raigam is soya. The Group has now branched out into bakery products. The real breakthrough has been in the biscuit industry where the company is currently ranked third. The biscuits, under the RAIGAM brand name, match the quality of biscuits of leading manufacturers, the company said. Raigam currently exports to the UAE, Japan, Lebanon, Maldives and Australia and employs over 800 workers. (PJ) |
