Hi-tech auto maintenance mart shortly "When completed, Mag City modelled on Cars Automobile Centre of Dubai, would be Sri Lanka's largest automobile, maintenance mart with service capacity for 100 vehicles at any one given time", said M. A. Gunathilake, Chairman of Mag City (Pvt) Ltd. The mega automobile maintenance mart scheduled to be inaugurated this November in the heart of the City would afford easy access, is a concept project that would be the first of its kind in Sri Lanka, with hi-Tech state-of-the-art computerized/automated maintenance equipment imported from USA, UK and Italy. Gunatilake pointed out that Mag City has the distinction of having so many 'firsts' - the largest workshop floor area capable of repairing 100 vehicles at any one given time, a crew of 150 professionally qualified technicians in their respective fields, a pleasing environment centrally located in the City with air-conditioned reception area for the visitors/customers with cyber cafe and a cafeteria for refreshments. He elaborated that Mag City would cater to all brands of vehicles, and any kind of vehicles repairs - electrical, mechanical, electronics and body structure, are undertaken in conformity to manufacturers' specifications. Mag City will have its own Spares Shop with genuine spares for all popular vehicle brands, popular brands of tyres/tubes, automotive batteries, leaf springs, alloy wheels, vehicle accessories and trinkets. Another 'first' would be the guarantee given against quality workmanship and genuine spares. The Italian collaborators Vehford Hi-Tech International Systems, will be responsible for layout, installations, training of technical staff, equipment maintenance and workmanship, by conducting monthly checks. "Another speciality is our prompt and quick service that would slash down both Customer Waiting Time, and Ramp Pit Time for the vehicles, giving more customer satisfaction. To back up this motto, our 24-hour Breakdown Service with Ramp-style Pick up truck would be functioned even during public holidays", he further elaborated that Mag City is a Concept Workshop equipped with computerized or automated equipment/machinery that cater a wide range of services including Computerized Wheel Alignment/Wheel Balancing/Head Lamp Alignment. Computerized Shock Absorber - Suspension Testing, Carbon Monoxide Testing, Auto Gear Fuel Changing, Auto A/c Service & Repairs, High Pressure Radiator/Cooling System Cleaning, ABS Brake Testing and Repair, Airbag Testing & Repair, Tinkering and Body Painting, Day to Day Running Repairs, Engine Tuning, Ultrasonic Injector Cleaning & Tuning.
