KET now at Ceylon Continental

Performing on Wednesdays at the Heist Ceylon Continental is the trio KET better known earlier as the Kumara Ekanayake Trio. They have been active on the scene, they tell us, these past few months playing for dances and weddings. Recently they shared the stage with the Gypsies at the DMCC Club Dance and according to Kumara have been playing at many of the planters' dances.

Besides playing weekly at Ceylon Continental KET also play at Hotel Eden down South Fridays. The name KET was derived from the initials of Kumara Ekanayake Trio which is more convenient and groovy in today's showbiz scene.

The trio besides Kumara, consists of Stephny the female vocalist and Thushara guitarist/keyboardist. Being active in the scene for the past fifteen years, KET quite naturally has a repertoire that is wide to take in many contemporary chart hits, evergreens, standards, rock and reggae. Check them out at the Ceylon Continental on Wednesdays.
