Minister and the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress leader Rauff Hakeem met the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and the Dravida Munnetra Kalagam (DMK) leader M. Karunanithy at his residence in Chennai on Friday. Minister Rauff Hakeem explained the current state of the Sri Lankan politics and the progress made with regard to the peace process. Minister Hakeem will travel from Chennai to New Delhi where he will meet Indian Foreign Minister Yashwant Sinha. The SLMC delegation comprising Parliamentarians Anwar Ismail, H. M. M. Haris and Rishad Badiudin, will also meet several Indian political and Constitutional experts and will hold discussions on the Muslim issues in Sri Lanka. - AP
