At Galadari on New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve at the Galadari Hotel is going to be an extra special one with many surprises lined out. At the lobby plans are under way for a gala dinner dance for the entire family with the popular band Nalin and the Star Combination in action to help you greet 2004. Speaking with Nalin the other day, he revealed that the band has been kept extremely busy this year.

"Besides our regular Sunday evenings at Galadari we've been working a tight schedule of playing for dances at many clubs, get togethers and at weddings which is our forte. Last month's dance the President's Dance at the Colombo Swimming Club was a great success.

On Christmas Day at the Galadari we'll be entertaining all guests during Christmas lunch and dinner and we are looking forward to that, as well as to the New Year's Eve celebrations."

With a repertoire that's extremely elastic guitarist/vocalist Nalin Fernando's band comprises Shirmila (daughter of C. D. Fonseka) on vocals, Dilantha Silva - keyboards and Hirushke Fernando - guitar/vocals. The group is currently working on a CD with re-arrangements of songs Shirmila sang with her father. This festive season make the date with Nalin and the Star Combination.
