Cleaning products range expanded

The personal care products manufacturer Swadeshi Industrial Works Ltd. plans to make further inroads into the cleaning products market with the launch of two new products under the 'Perlwite' brand

The new products, a dishwash powder and dishwash bar, will supplement the Perlwite dishwash liquid already in the market. They are specially formulated to clean grease and tough stains and contain ingredients with germicidal cleaning powers.

The new products have been extensively tested at Swadeshi's Research and Development facility, which is rated one of the best laboratories in the country for testing personal care products.

Swadeshi Industrial Works, established in 1941, claims to be the market leader in herbal soap manufacture in Sri Lanka. Perlwite, the first branded laundry soap with lime fragrance and detergent - AOS (Alpha Oliphine Sulphanate) manufactured in Sri Lanka, was introduced by the company in 1997. In 2001, Swadeshi launched Perlwite liquid dishwash with the active ingredient 'Ingrasan DP-300' which kills germs.

Swadeshi also manufactures and markets brands such as Khomba, Rani Sandalwood, Khomba Baby, Apsara Venivel, Sportsman Plus and Protekt, the herbal and fluoride toothpaste
