Sunday Observer, Thinakaran staffers win Awards

Here, Prof. Lars Bohlin, Head, Department of Medicinal Chemistry, Uppsala University, Sweden gives the awards for Shanika Sriyananda of 'Sunday Observer' (the Best Science Communicator - English medium) and Marlin Marikkar of 'Thinakaran' (the Best Science Communicator - Tamil medium) at the 59th Annual Session of the SLASS held at the BMICH.

Two Lake House journalists were awarded 'Science Popularisation Awards', for their media contributions for the popularisation of Science for 2003, by the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement (SLASS).
