Christmas happenings...

Soon the sounds and the magical excitement of Christmas will be in the air for music lovers to enjoy. At the Galadari Hotel, special performances of modern Sri Lankan ballet by the renowned Channa's Dance Troupe will be staged until Christmas Day. Carols at the lobby for you to sing along and Christmas music by the popular Nalin and the Star Combination at Christmas lunch and Christmas dinner.

At Ceylon Continental - Carols by the St. John's and St. Mary's Church Choirs at the lobby from December 23 to 24 at 7.30 pm. The Heist will see the trio KET in seasonal action on December 24, while Chandani and Chaminda will entertain you on December 25 Trans Asia invites you to enjoy and sing along at the Carols at the Lobby on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

A special performance of Christmas Carols by the leading stars of today will be held at Atrium lobby of the Colombo Plaza on December 23. Organised by Sohan Weerasinghe. On Christmas Eve the Australian husband and wife duo 'Till Dawn' will be playing at the lobby and spreading their message of Christmas.

The Colombo Hilton will feature 'Nine Lives' by Neidra Williams today and tomorrow December 22. Soundarie David will present 'Soul Sounds' from December 23-25 and Karl Katz returns with his Orchestra for seasonal performances at the Torana Lounge from today till December 27.

Enjoy a White Christmas at the Hut and experience the excitement of after skiing parties of the Swiss Alps with music galore by DJs until December 27.

From tomorrow till Christmas Eve the Y's Men Choir will sing a variety of Christmas carols and seasonal favourites, while Sam the Man will be at the Terrace on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day enjoy a special buffet lunch at the Empire Ballroom with live Christmas jazz.

The Taj Samudra is seasonally dressed to make you happy musically throughout this festive season with Christmas carols at the lobby, which started yesterday and will go on till Christmas Eve. Santa will be very much in the thick of it presenting sweets and goodies to all the children who drop in at the Taj during the singing of the carols. Make sure you join the ho ho jolly man and sing lustily along with him!

Dalreen will host a one hour TV Christmas special featuring all the leading singers of today on TNL on Christmas Eve with a repeat on Christmas Day.
