Golden Chimes at Beach Wadiya

New Year's Eve at the Beach Wadiya Restaurant will be quite an interesting and a different setting to welcome 2004.

This time around revellers can let themselves go, sing themselves silly and dance their feet away to the music of Lankika and the Golden Chimes. Just recently the band celebrated their 33 years in the music scene with a much appreciated concert at the BMICH. "We are quite busy for the season and have new plans for the New Year 2004.

A concert is scheduled in Galle in January and another in February which will be held in Moratuwa" informs Lankika. A five piece outfit Golden Chimes comprises leader Chanaka Perera - bass/vocals, Lankika - vocals, Jagath Pieris - guitar/vocals, Pimal Fernando - Keyboards/vocals and Ajith Wijemanne - drums.
