BEADLE ­   At home with Jesus. SAM BEADLE    Beloved husband of late Lily (nee Mather) passed away peacefully at National Hospital Borella on 06.01.2004. He is the Father of Chandra, Nirmala, Vasanthan (HNB) and Rajan (UK), father­in­law of Gnanakumar (BOC), Ranjini and Karen. Grandfather of Ranjeev (PLC), Vidhya (HNB), Aruna Rajaratnam, Kavitha, Katie and Michael, grandfather­in­law of Romesh Rajaratnam (USA). Funeral took place at Jayaratna Funeral Parlour, Borella at 4 p.m. on Wednesday the 7th January 2004. 

DE SILVA ­ DR. M. DICKSON.   Dental Surgeon, Past President of the Ceylon Dental Association, beloved husband of Nalini, loving father of Chiranthi and Raaj, father­in­law of Sarath and Shama, passed away peacefully on 3rd December. According to his wishes his eyes were donated and the body was handed over to the Colombo Medical College. 

DE SILVA ­ SHRIMATHI   Beloved wife of Leslie de Silva, beloved mother of Roshani, daughter of the late Mr & Mrs Arnold S. Ratnayake, expired. Cortege leaves residence   225/B, Depanama, Polwatta, Pannipitiya at 3.00 p.m. on Monday 12th January for Cremation at General Cemetery Borella. 

FAREED ­ AL HAJ. COLONEL A.M.M. FAREED   (Ex­Signals). Honorary Consul for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordon, loving son of late Mr & Mrs. M.A. Majeed of Matale, beloved husband of Yasmin, precious brother of late Inudeen & Al Haj Kahldeen (Ex­Horlicks), passed away peacefully on the 4th January 2004 and Janaza took placed at 9.00 a.m. on 5th January 2004. We thank each and everyone who helped us in numerous ways and relieved our pain in our hour of grief. We regret our inability to thank them individually.
