The emerging SLFP-JVP alliance, which seeks to usher in a social democratic culture, has identified restoring the peace talks as a priority task and has indicated it will initiate talks with the LTTE with reasonable conditions after the signing of the MOU.

Indian expert attends: President chairs top meet on ISGA proposals

J-Biz gives Jan 31 ultimatum

The Joint Business Forum (J-Biz), last week gave a January 31 deadline to the President and the Prime Minister to resolve the current political crisis, and warned that if the crisis is not resolved by that date they would launch a signature campaign to protest the failure.
