Educating public, private-sector on project planning A series of programs to educate the public and private sector officials on project planning, project evaluation, building designing and surveying will be conducted by the OST CADD Centre, a subsidiary of EWIS at Kollupitiya. The first program will be launched at the ICTAD Auditorium in the Housing and Plantation Infrastructure Ministry on February 12 at 8.30 am onwards. The second seminar for project officers, managers, information officers and project leaders will be held at the Western Province, Information Technology Resources Development Institute on February 13 from 9.30 am onwards. A spokesman for the CADD centre said that the series of seminars and workshops aimed at empowering Sri Lankan professionals in computer-based project planning, management and computer-based designing and draughting. The training will also enable the participants to gain knowledge in popular management software which could be easily used in projects as well as products and buildings. The CADD Centre with 17 years experience in the field is also conducting free training programs for journalists with the collaboration of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
