LTTE motorcycle brigade passes out The first `motorcycle' brigade of the LTTE was launched last Friday by LTTE leader Veluppillai Prabhakaran at a special ceremony in Vanni. Prabhakaran took the salute of the newly created brigade along with its commander Maniarasan and LTTE Police Chief P. Nadesan from a special dais. A large number of heavily armed cadres of the brigade paraded in their motorbikes, reports from Vanni said. Shortly after the passing out parade, the brigade members performed stunts to the gathering, the reports said. (AP) |
