Wesley on 1st innings

Wesley College, Colombo gained a first innings win over St. Sebastian's College, Moratuwa in their inter-school cricket match played for the Lemonade Trophy at Moratuwa.

Batting first, Sebs made 189 with Taraka Peiris unbeaten with 53 runs. In reply Wesley declared at 193 for 9. Sebs were in a strong position with opponents were 149 for 9 at one stage. But a stubborn tenth-wicket partnership of 44 runs between Kushan Seneviratne unbeaten with 13 and Tariq Nazier not out 9 runs saw them through.

At the close, the Sebs were 158 for 3 with Sanjeeva Fernando unbeaten with 55 runs.
