CHELLIAH RAJASINGHAM Born: 10.01.1911 - Died: 03.03.2004. Retired O.I.C. Health Unit, Kekirawa, Sri Lanka. Son of late Mr & Mrs Chelliah of Vandiyar Walavoo, Uduvil and son-in-law of late Dr & Mrs Appukuddi Suppiah of Tellippalai, beloved husband of late Rajaluxmy, father of Captain Baladharan (formerly Air Lanka, at present in U.K.), Gitanjali (London, U.K.), Dr Rahuladharan (New Jersey, USA), Jeyanjali (California, USA), Menaka (London, U.K.) and Nirupa (Connecticut, USA), beloved father-in-law of Jayanthi (U.K.), Shanthikumar (U.K.), Mary (USA), Dr Thangarajah (USA), Sivapatheeswaran (UK) and Thayalakhandan (USA), dearly beloved grandfather of Dr Janakan (U.K.), Dharini (UK), Siveshwar, John Rajah, Hariharan, Ann Luxmy (all of USA), Meera (U.K.), Lavan, Thulasi (both of Connecticut, USA) and Saiyini (U.K.), brother of late Mr Thuraisingham (Malaysia), Sivapakiam, Ratnamani (both of Vandyar Walavoo, Uduvil), late Veerasingham (Chunnakam) and late Sivasingham (Bambalapitiya), brother-in-law of late Thambirajah (Parakkaduwa), late Sivagnanam (Malaysia), late Apputhurai (Uduvil), late Palasundaram (Brunei), late Dr Balakrishnan (Point Pedro), Jayaluxmy Kanagaratnam (Sydney, Australia), late Ariyam (Chunnakam) and Sivayogam (Bambalapitiya), passed away peacefully in London, UK. Funeral was held in Surrey, UK. We the family wish to thank and express our deep gratitude to all who participated in the last rites, sent floral tributes, messages of condolence and helped in numerous ways from UK and abroad and were a source of comfort and strength at the time of our sorrow. We regret our inability to thank them individually.

Sirimal, Indral, Primal (Minds FCB), brother of L.M.A. Silva (Attorney-at-Law) and the late Harrison Jacob, Sam Titus, father-in-law of Prashani, Priyanthi and Deepika, loving grandfather of Sudeva, Prabashi, Induneth, Indunie, Praveenya and Pravesha. Remains will lie at residence No. 66/11, 3rd Lane, Koralawella, Moratuwa. Remains will be removed for Interment at St Peter's Church Burial Ground. Cortege leaves residence at 4.00 p.m. on Sunday 21st March, 2004.

JURANGPATHY - GNEI CASEEMA (Retired Teacher Overseas School of Colombo) beloved wife of Baba Halith, precious mother of Nazreen, Azra & Hesham, loving mother-in-law of Nicholas Keown (Australia), & Rukshan Veero (Dubai), darling grandmother of Hana Keown, loving daughter of Umma Nona & late Harira Mohamed, sister of Sulayha, Bistary, Thyib, Omar, Idris (Canada) & Bagoos (Australia), sister-in-law of late Muji Sally, Tony Hassan, Riaz Ahmat, Zaithoon, Yasmin & Arlene, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on 17th March 2004. Janaza took place at 10.30 a.m. same day at Dehiwela Muslim Burial Ground. Members of the family thank all friends and relatives who attended the Janaza and sent messages of condolence and helped in many ways.
