JAYAWARDENA ­ SUJATHA (nee Wickramasekera)   Passed away peacefully in the company of family and friends at the Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital Windsor, Ontario, Canada on March 15th 2004, in her 79th year. Predeceased by her husband Nalin, Devoted mother of Shamini and Gamini mother­in­law of Nihal Wijayanayaka and Dhammika Jayawardena loving grandmother of Nilukshi, Tishara and Hasana. Beloved sister of Susima Fernando (deceased) Sunimal Dandeniya, Hema Gajasinghe and Hemasiri Wickramasekera, sister­in­law of Nanda Kumarasinghe, Kusuma Silva, Vimala Perera, Mervyn & Silda Jayawardena and Ursula Wickramasekera. Born in Matara, Sri Lanka, Sujatha will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother sister aunt, friend an a devoted Buddhist. The funeral service and cremation were held on March 20th 2004, at the   Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Canada. The family sincerely thanks all the relatives and friends in Sri Lanka and other countries who extended their sympathies and shared in the loss. 

KANAGASABAI ­ THANABALASINGAM   (Retired E.O.A ­ Kachcheri, Trincomalee). Beloved father of Dr Gadambanathan (National Hospital of Sri Lanka, Colombo), father­in­law of Dr Chithra (Lady Ridgeway Children Hospital), expired in Colombo on 08.04.2004. His funeral rites were held at   Jayaratne Funeral Parlour on 10.04.2004 and his body was handed over to Ragama Medical Faculty as requested by the deceased. Informant Dr T. Gadambanathan (Son).

(Shelton)   Husband of Monica (Mona), loving father of Glen, Sandra, Eroma, Theonie, Bernadine and Lester, father­in­law of Rosanna, Nigel Barnet (Australia), Ernest Wilson (Australia), Ainsley White (Australia) and Clifford Bell (Australia), loving brother of Sybil and brother­in­law of Hartley Dickson (Australia), grandfather of Graham, Vanessa, Lochlin, Diedrie, Nigel, Andrea, Bianca, Belinda and Calvin. Cortege leaves   A.F. Raymond’s Funeral Parlour on Monday 12th April at 3 p.m. Burial at General Cemetery, Kanatte (Roman Catholic Section).

MOHAMED ­ TUAN FATIHEEN   (retired Factory Officer, Viharagala Estate ­ Haputale). Beloved husband of Sithy Raziya, loving father of Noor Zeena, Fouzeena, Azaar Zulfi and Afzal Fazly, father­in­law of Kamil Yehiya, the late Saipdeen Mohamed Jamil, Marina and Mifaza, much loved grandfather of Azmiya, Ashraani, Shazna, Mafaz, Minoza and Jennathul Aaliyah. Janaza took place on 7th April at Mattegoda Muslim Burial Ground.
