Dialog sponsors four clubs in 'A' div rugby

Dialog GSM will continue to develop and promote sports and young talent in Sri Lanka said the General Manager (Sales and Marketing) Nushad Perera of Dialog GSM who announced their sponsorship of four rugby clubs in the current 'A' Division League and Knock-out Rugby Championships.

Perera said that they were very happy to sponsor Army for the third year, CR & FC for the second and moving in to help Police and Air Force for the first occasion.

Chairman of Army's Rugby, Major General Krishnaratne, speaking at a media briefing at JAIC Hilton said that Dialog GSM's sponsorship has helped rugby at the Army immensely and hoped they will continue with same in the future too. Air Vice Marshall Channa Gunaratne of Air Force said that they were desperate for a sponsor and was very grateful to Dialog GSM in moving in for the first time.

DIG Nimal Lewke of Police too thanked Dialog GSM and so did Jehan Canakaratne of CR & FC who said that Dialog's sponsorship helped to improve its standard. (L.G.)
