Samith and Asokamala singles champs

The 48th Open Mercantile Table Tennis Championships 2004 was conducted by the Mercantile Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka at S. Thomas' College, Mt. Lavinia Indoor Stadium on 21st and 22nd of April 2004.

The results

Men's singles: 1. Samith Prasad (M. Samson Silva & Co. Ltd), 2. Chatura Wanasinghe (Ceylinco Sports Club).

Women's singles: 1. Asokamala Tennakoon (Gateway International (Pvt) Ltd), 2. Radika Jayaweera (Virtusa).

Men's singles novices: 1. Chatura Wanasinghe (Ceylinco Sports Club), Gamini Moraes (Astron Sports Club).

Women's singles novices: 1. Dilani Herath (Virtusa), 2. Durga Manawasinghe (Virtusa).

Men's singles veterans: 1. Rajiva Wijetunge (Ceylinco Sports Club), Gamini Moraes (Astron Sports Club).

Men's doubles: Lalith Priyantha (Butterfly Sports Club) and Samith Prasad (M. Samson Silva & Co. Ltd), 2. T. Ram Kumar (Hayleys Sports Club) and D. Sellapperuma (Hayleys Sports Club).

The annual general meeting of the Mercantile Table Tennis Association will be held during the last week of May 2004.
