After a long, long time an evening of high calibre entertainment was laid out by the General Manager of Taj Samudra for VIP personalities their corporate clients and for the media on Sunday April 25. This was no ordinary run-of-the mill billet, it was true to the blurbs "an unforgettable evening by two world class entertainers." The king of 'Mynd Games' Pradeep Rao excelled in a 60 minute magical adventure of making inroads into the human mind with a great deal of honour.
He mesmerised the audience with his mind boggling acts that were impressive which reflected his superb showmanship. His chatter, patter and his rapport with those he used as his subjects from the audience were impressive and kept the audience literally spellbound, at the edge of their seats and wondering "how did he achieve that?" The stand up comedian Vikram Sathaye and his mimicry of Asian and international cricket TV commentators was hilarious. He was able to produce a laugh a minute from the audience who related easily to cricket commentaries, cricket jokes and also to his many invitations of cricketers stances at the wickets which included our own Sanath Jayasuriya and Arjuna Ranatunga.
Vikram Sathaye who started his television career by playing Navjot Singh Sidhu on 'MTV's Fully Faltoo' was recently a presenter on 'Extraa Innings' on Sony Max for the ICC World Cup Cricket in South Africa. His profile reveals that he has performed in various shows for the past four years executing a great mix of Cricket and Bollywood in his acts - the latter too was featured that evening. With refreshing music from Warren and Rozette and a fabulous sit down five course dinner, that evening at the Taj will long be remembered by all those who were present. |
