Gypsies on an Australia - New Zealand tour

Music is a wonderful thing to be involved in. No musician will deny it. To Sunil and the Gypsies music has brought them untold happiness and success. Back home after a packed houses tour which took them to Abu Dhabi, Toronto, Vancouver, Norway and Sweden, London and Paris the Gypsies will be off again this week to Australia to play five dates in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and New Zealand. We managed to check out details with Sunil who was busy making arrangements for the next leg of their tour.

What's your comment about your seven cities tour?

"Every show, without exaggeration, was a roaring success. Ginger was a big hit and so was Ronnie. We had the crowd with us right from the start, we played to packed houses and the whole tour was well organised all the arrangements for us were fabulous. At Abu Dhabi we played at the Crown Plaza, at Toronto we had a dance and a concert.

At Surrey in Vancouver it was a concert. Vancouver is a lovely place! Then in Norway and Sweden two concerts while on May 1st we were at Earl's Court, London for a dinner dance and we ended our tour in Paris with a dance at Brazil Tropical. The boys enjoyed every minute of the tour and you know how we've always liked to play for our fans! We are going back next June with the same line up by popular demand."

So now its going to be Australia and New Zealand and you must be very happy?

"Yes ofcourse. Nothing could be finer for us. We will be playing at Melbourne on the 22nd, Sydney on the 29th. From there off we go to Canberra for a show on June 4th, and the next day June 5th we will be in Brisbane and then fly to New Zealand for a show on June 7th. Ginger and Ronnie will be with us and we are all looking forward to playing in Australia and New Zealand and everyone knows I've always liked to sing and play - I don't know why!"

So from all of us music lovers to the fabulous Gypsies its bon voyage and loads of success
