Sunil Jayakody continues winning streak in golf

by Kandy Sports Corr

Nuwara Eliya Golf Club's captain and former cricketer and ruggerite Sunil Jayakody continued his winning streak at golf when he won both A.R. Aitken Cup and the Susuki Stableford competition on two consecutive days in the competition organised by the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club and worked off at the NEGC Course at Nuwara Eliya under good weather conditions.

Sunil Jayakody a former planter from Lindula and later at Kandapola, a Cluster Manager found the terrain at Nuwara Eliya homely and much to his liking and revelled under the prevailing conditions. A large number of golfers participated in both these competitions.

Sunil Jayakody first won the A.R. Aitken Cup with Sarath Piyaratne as runner-up after a grueling contest. Expatriate Errol Johnston walked away with the first nine hole title with Majid Awn as runner-up.
