Schools soccer finals May 17 and 18

Sri Lanka Schools Football Association will hold trials to pick players to represent Sri Lanka at the Asian Schools Football Championships to staged in Hong Kong and Malaysia. The trials will be on May 17 and 18.

The trials will be for players from Western Province Schools and Outstation Schools. On May 17 at 1 p.m. the trials for boys from Western Province Schools will be held at the Henry Pedris Stadium, Havelock Town and on May 18 at 9 a.m. for Outstation Schools players also at the same venue.

According to Upali Silva, Secretary, Sri Lanka Schools Football Association the under-18 Asian Schools Football Championships will be held from July 23 to August 1 in Hong Kong and the under-15 championships from June 28 to July 7 in Malaysia.

All players attending trials are requested to bring their Sri Lanka Schools Football Association ID and the National ID card along with a letter from the Principal of the respective schools certifying their class.
