KET off to Jordan

Off to Jordan this month to perform at two already sold out shows, is the trio KET who formerly called themselves the Kumara Ekanayake Trio. They will be performing along with our leading singer Corrine who has been invited to perform at these shows.

In Jordan, Kumara tells us that he will be performing new songs as well as the other songs of his that are popular with his fans. The trio has released two video clips for their songs Nano Nano and Poddak Kata and are working on a CD for release in the near future. "My first CD was a success and the song 'Latha Latha' became quite popular which helped me to gather more fans abroad.

We had to miss some good tours, because of special performances here and also I had opportunities to perform as a solo artist but I had to refuse these shows because I prefer to perform with the band. I'm happy with the performances of my other two members, especially the guitarist Thushara Peiris who is a talented musician and his first song 'Me Palu Nimney' became a big hit for him.

KET have been in the showbiz scene for more than ten years. Their wide repertoire includes contemporary chart hits to ever greens and the irresistible medleys of songs of yester year in cha cha, quickstep and rock and roll rhythms. With superior quality sound equipment KET have carved a niche for themselves in our music scene.
