PC House co-sponsors CH and FC rugby PC House, one of the leading IT companies in the country, have come forward with a significant contribution towards co-sponsoring the CH & FC rugby side in the ongoing tournament and the decision was made in only 15 minutes. The IT company will also continue to develop the relationship and maintain their support in the future too. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PC House, S. H. M. Rishan, speaking at a media briefing last Friday night at the Gymkhana Club said that his establishment was proud to be associated with CH & FC and that next year (2005) will become aggressive sponsors of rugby on the whole in a more dynamic way. He also disclosed that CH & FC and PC House will going hands to develop junior rugby too and will sponsor-conduct a tournament at under-17 and under-15 level most probably in September with club sides from Colombo and outstations competing. Discussions on this matter is being held with the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU). Chairman of the Gymkhana Club, Iqbal 'Hersey' Hassan, thanked PC House for coming forward with a sponsorship package needed by CH & FC and hoped that the alliance will go from strength to strength. He too disclosed that this "alliance" (CH & FC and PC House) proposes to conduct a floodlit Cup Winners Cup competition for those in the Asian region probably next year involving India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and even the Arabian Gulf. Junior sides from these countries too will be invited. Among the others who were present were Ananda Cooray (Secretary, Gymkhana Club), Rajan Anthony (Rugby Secretary CH & FC), Saliya Wimalaratne (General Manager, PC House) and Rizwan Anise (Manager, Business Development and Marketing Communication, PC House).
