Royal College softball cricket carnival

The Royal College Inter-batch softball cricket carnival played for the L. D. H. Pieris Memorial Trophy will be held for the 4th consecutive year on 27th June 2004 at the CH & FC grounds.

This event organized by old boys Group, Group of '87 has contributed towards the many development activities of Royal College. The contributions upto date exceed Rs. 1,000,000.00.

The profits generated from the cricket carnival last year was utilized to sponsor a leadership training camp for the Prefects Council of 2003/2004 which was a success.

The success of the cricket carnivals held in during the past 3 years has given the group the encouragement and the confidence to venture into new areas to make the event more successful.

The organisers are expecting 1000 people and programme and events are on the cards to have the whole family entertained throughout the day. We are hoping to have a larger kiddies playing area and more trade/food stalls.
