Cameron to maintain service momentum

Cameron Pale & Medina, with their reputation for high-impact Creative Advertising and Public Relations campaigns in South Asia has moved into top gear by strengthening the top management to maintain the service momentum of the company.

To achieve this, the board of directors decided to head-hunt some of the best professionals in Advertising, Public Relations and Media to serve our existing business partners to face the new corporate challenges of 2005 and beyond", Jayantha Sittampalam, Chairman of Cameron Pale & Medina, said.

Seen in their Austin Place boardroom from left to right are A. Wickremage who has joined as Director Sales of Cameron Media which specialises in Outdoor Hoarding and Supermarket Advertising.

Wickremage was a former Marketing Manager of Keells Food Products Ltd, a member of the John Keells Group with 25 years of sales experience in fast-moving consumer goods and a Fellow of the Sales and Marketing Association of UK.

He had also served at Shaw Wallace and Reckitts in their sales divisions. Prabath Amerasinghe, Art Director of the company has 17 years experience in the field. He has been with Cameron for the past six years and joined from Trikaya Grey where he was the Chief Artist. Mario Ratnaraja, an Economics Graduate from the prestigious Madras Christian College, joins as Creative Director with over 15 years of experience in copy-based creativity.

He was formerly with Grey Worldwide, Minds Bozell, Grant McCann and PhoenixO&M. Ananda Rajapakse a Graduate in Mass Communications and Public Relations from Rochville University USA joins Cameron Pale & Medina as the Chief Executive Officer. He was the International Marketing Director and later Head of Corporate Communications at Young Asia Television. A well-known Career Counsellor and Leadership Trainer, Rajapakse was the first Public Relations Manager at Unilever Ceylon.

Mohamed Risvi an Associated Chartered Accountant (ACA) joins as Head of Finance. He was formerly Chief Accountant at Universal Enterprises in the Maldives.

Ram Kumar Singaram a Chartered Accountant and business journalist is the Head of Operations in South India based in Chennai. With over 17 years of Advertising Agency experience. Amar Gunethileke (seated behind) joins as Client Services Director. He was formerly Director Client Services at Minds FCB where he worked for 12 years handling advertising of Telecom, Automobiles, Ceramics, Tea, Dairy and Soya products.

Seated in front is Jayantha Sittampalam, Chairman and Creative Hotshot of Cameron Pale & Medina. ([email protected]) whose copy-based creative strategy won Cameron the prestigious assignment from the Export Development Board of Sri Lanka to launch the first Sri Lankan Trade Centre in India.

Jayantha has designed over 60 popular brand logos for companies in Sri Lanka and will soon document them for study by students of creative art.
