Advanced storage solutions now in Sri Lanka

EMC Corporation, an international leader in information-storage and management, for the first time, has made its products and services available in Sri Lanka through its local partner Enterprise Technology (Pvt) Ltd (ETPL). This was revealed at a seminar on 'Business Continuity Planning' held at Hilton Colombo Residence in June 2004, EMC Corporation has also recognized Enterprise Technology (Pvt) Ltd., as a velocity partner, the only such firm to be in Sri Lanka.

Introducing the EMC Corporation in Sri Lanka, Kithsiri Gunasekera, Director, ETPL stated that by the velocity partner program, EMC would be providing full support and knowledge transferring to enable ETPL to deliver most advanced and cost effective storage solutions to the Sri Lankan clients.

The solutions will be ideally suited to organizations within a wide range including banking and finance, manufacturing, government, healthcare, the travel trade and telecommunications sectors.

For more than two decades, EMC has been concentrating on bringing into the market new storage technologies that help customers gain faster and more reliable access to more of their information while making it easier and more cost-effective to manage their storage environments. For the last six years, EMC has ranked as the world's number one provider of external RAID storage systems.

EMC is the recognized leader in the new and rapidly growing markets for storage area network integrated solutions and storage area network management software. EMC's international investment in storage R&D is several times larger than its closest competitor and has resulted in 1,300 approved or pending storage-related patents.
