Dialog Internet expands dealer network

Dialog Internet, the internet arm of Sri Lanka's flagship telecommunications company signed partnership agreements with PC house and Abans computers, recently. The other dealers include Kobian Technologies, Alpha Digital Computers, Asian Computers, Micro PC, Soft Master Technologies and Westech PC Technologies.

Dialog i is a fully-fledged internet service provider, with capabilities to provide high end corporate solutions and dial-up connections for use of individual internet users. In addition to the provision of IDC (Internet Data Centre), ASP (Application Service Provider) and hosting services, Dialog Internet also specializes in innovative and customized Internet solutions ranging from dial - up services and customized and integrated web based solutions as well as customized enhanced ethernet solutions.

Among the unique value added facilities offered by Dialog i is X-it-a free of charge filtering facility for parents who want to control their children's access to certain websites and the Sinhala-Tamil email service pioneered in 2002.

Dialog's mobile internet service also brings internet-on-the-move across all GSM coverage areas to customers possessing handheld internet enabled devices. The company also provides internet roaming GRIC-a facility that enables a customer to dial a local number using a local landline in more than 120 countries roaming destinations.

Leveraging the global strengths of its parent company Telekom Malaysia BhD., Dialog internet now provides wide bandwidth connectivity to the internet provisioned via the SeMeWe3 submarine cable. Dialog operates its own sub-marine cable capacity following the liberalization of international services.
