Online Remittance from Seylan Bank Seylan Bank announced the launch of Seylan e-Remittance, the online remittance service that enables non-resident Lankans to transfer money from any bank account in the US to any Seylan Bank account in Sri Lanka. The service is available on the bank's website and requires the sender only to register, add details of his bank account in the US and the receiver's account with Seylan Bank and place an online remittance order. Seylan Bank has launched this service to enable remitters in the US to send money to their relatives in Sri Lanka direct from their homes. Transferring funds on Seylan e-Remittance means no tedious paperwork and no expensive wire charges. To provide the service, Seylan Bank has used the technology of TimesofMoney.com (www.timesofmoney.com). TimesofMoney.com provides a 24 hour Customer Service platform for the Seylan e-Remittance service. "Seylan e-Remittance has revolutionized the process of transferring money to Sri Lanka" said Samuel Jebaratanam, DGM Seylan Bank. Seylan e-Remittance uses the industry-standard ACH (Automated Clearing House) network to effect fund transfers.
