Shutters up for Pramuka The Monetary Board of the Central Bank (CB) has decided to suspend the business of Pramuka Savings and Development Bank (PSDB) and to cancel its licence and to cause the Director of Bank Supervision of the CB to wind up the PSDB, states a release by the Central Bank. It further states that this decision was taken by the Monetary Board after careful consideration of the feasibility of a proposal submitted by Asia Capital Ltd (ACL) for the restructuring of the PSDB and having a considered matters placed before the Board by the Director of Bank Supervision and a report of an independent firm of consultants. The Monetary Board wishes to assure the public that its decision was taken after having explored all available options to restructure the PSDB including soliciting the assistance of the banking industry. New study program in Digital Electronics Technology The Electronics Training Lab at No: 65 , Obeyesekerapura, Rajagiriya has introduced a new practical based study program in Digital Electronics Technology for newcomers to the Electronics Industry and for those employed to enhance their skills in Digital Circuit Design and Repair activities. The program helps to enhance skills in electronics to a very high standard where the participant gains knowledge to understand and develop technological marvels in electronics in a shorter timespan. It is a known fact that in the developing countries the computers are being used for high end activities such as monitoring of physical and human resources in various industries unlike in the Third World countries where computers are being used mainly for the purpose of general work in Office, Banks and other similar organisations. Electronics and digital power help these computers which perform such major activities to work fast in seconds and are being priced high for Third World countries like Sri Lanka. |
