PERERA ­ PHYLLIS LOURDESLY   at Rest with Jesus. Beloved wife of late Henry Mathias formerly of Chilaw, much loved sister of late Irene, Mercy, Freddie and Bennet, passed away peacefully on Tuesday 21st September 2004 and was laid to Rest on Wednesday 22nd at the General Cemetery, Borella (Roman Catholic Section). SAMARASINGHE ­ DR ANANDA   (Consultant Oncologist, Royal Hospital, Oman) died on September 4th 2004 following a brief illness. His remains were cremated at the Mt.Lavinia General Cemetery and the ashes were interred at the family burial ground in Kandy.
